Human supervision vital in AI-driven hiring: Report

A large number of professionals believe that human validation is essential for making final hiring decisions, despite the significant roles played by artificial intelligence (AI), according to a recent report.

The report by HR solutions provider Genius HRTech highlights widespread scepticism about AI making final hiring decisions. Specifically, 72% of respondents said human validation is crucial, while only 15% are open to fully AI-driven decisions if the systems are well-calibrated. Additionally, over 10% of professionals felt that AI could be allowed in high-volume junior or fresher hiring.

About 27% of respondents outrightly disliked AI-driven hiring processes, citing a lack of the human touch.

The Genius HRTech report is based on input from 1,887 professionals across various industries.

Looking ahead, 39% of those surveyed expect AI to dominate most recruitment processes within the next five years. Meanwhile, 33% see AI as a strong support system rather than a replacement for human involvement.
